Troubleshooting

The app won't open or keeps crashing

  • Force-close the app and reopen it (swipe up and remove from recent apps).
  • Ensure your device is running iOS 18.5 or later. Go to Settings → General → Software Update.
  • Check the App Store for any pending Thrive updates and install them.
  • Restart your iPhone.
  • If the issue persists, delete and reinstall the app. Your account data is saved to the cloud and will be restored after you log back in.

My bank account won't connect

  • Double-check that you're entering the correct credentials for your financial institution (not your Thrive credentials).
  • Ensure your bank account does not have multi-factor authentication (MFA) issues — some banks require you to approve the login from a text or email first.
  • Try removing the account and re-adding it fresh via Banking → Accounts → Add Account.
  • Contact us if your institution is not found: support@gothrive.net.

My transactions aren't showing up

  • Pull down on the dashboard to manually trigger a data sync.
  • Check that the relevant account is still connected under Banking → Accounts.
  • New transactions from the same day may take up to 24 hours to appear depending on your institution.

I'm not receiving Smart Alerts

  • Go to iPhone Settings → Notifications → Thrive and ensure notifications are enabled.
  • Check in-app notification preferences under Settings → Notifications.
  • Make sure your iPhone is not in Do Not Disturb mode during the times you expect alerts.

I'm having trouble logging in

  • Verify you're using the email address associated with your Thrive account.
  • Use the Forgot Password? link on the login screen to reset your password.
  • If you have biometric login enabled and it isn't working, enter your password manually and re-enable Face ID/Touch ID in Settings.
